In this help page, we will be describing how you may make use of ClassDo’s tools to participate in mixed-style lesson plans. This page is a continuation of the previous page: How to conduct mixed-style lesson plans.
Using Breakout Rooms
For learners to lead their own learning, they often spend time discussing ideas, defining problems, then retrieving the information they need, before creating solutions. Often, such teams will need a space to work on their resources.
ClassDo’s breakout rooms and integrated library allows for all resources to be stored in one place for each team, while allowing facilitators the ability to access and feedback on the resources created.
Learn how to create and navigate around breakout rooms here.
Templates for Breakout Rooms
To facilitate students’ learning, a good pedagogical method is to send a copy of a discussion template into each team room. This way, each team can immediately jump into collaborating on the guiding questions previously mentioned in the main room, reducing the facilitation busywork for trainers and enhancing learner-led discussions in the breakout rooms.
First, in the main room, you may choose to upload a PDF or PowerPoint version of your template, or create one through the sketchpad function.
Afterwards, copy the file into every breakout room.
We hope this section of the help centre has given you a better understanding of how you may utilise your tools within ClassDo to support your learning.
