Upload and Watch YouTube Videos (Desktop)
Web YouTube is a convenient and hassle-free way of watching YouTube videos from within the classroom. Once shared, the video is stored in the room and plays in sync across all members' devices.
If you want to watch videos that are not on YouTube, try screen sharing instead.
If you want to store a video from your device in the room such that other room members can watch it at any time, but do not want it to be publicly available, try uploading it as an unlisted YouTube video.
Add a YouTube Video
Enter YouTube URL
In the virtual room under Content, click Web YouTube.
Alternatively, if there are already uploaded files, click the Add button on the right, and click on the Web YouTube.
Copy the link of the YouTube video that you wish to insert, then paste the link in this blank. Lastly, click Save.
Play the Video
Click the Play button to begin. The YouTube video will play and pause in sync across all members' devices. However, note that if the room is set to Presentation mode and you do not have permissions to toggle room settings between Presentation and Collaboration modes, you will be unable to play or pause the video.
If you are not the person who clicked on the Play button of the video, i.e. another room member activated playback of the video, you must click the unmute button in order to hear the audio.
