Join a Room by Invite


This article is for organisation owners, admins, or members with admin permissions e.g. tutors. If you are a general user of ClassDo, please refer to this article.

Your session host may invite you to join the virtual collaboration room via your email address. Depending on the mode of invite, follow the steps below to log into ClassDo and join the room.

Cannot receive your invite?

If you were instead provided with a room key to join the room, you should be joining the room with your room key link or room key words.

Received invitation with Gmail

If your host invites you via your email address, you will receive an email invitation from ClassDo. If you have received your invitation in your Gmail, continue reading below. Note that this email address MUST be a Google Mail address/ is associated with a Google account.

If your email address is not a Gmail address, follow these instructions instead.

Log onto ClassDo on Chrome or Safari

If you are viewing the email on the device you wish to use for live collaboration, you can click on the "Join [room name]"  orange button on the invitation and go directly to Step 3.

Otherwise, on the device you wish to use, go to https://ClassDo.com with these browsers:

Operating System Browser
Windows Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
Android Google Chrome
macOS Google Chrome or Safari
iOS Safari

Do NOT use other browsers. If you do not have Chrome, download for free from: https://www.google.com/chrome/

On the website, click Start a Class For Free.

Click Continue with Google.

Sign into your Google account. You have to sign into the same email account that you received the invite with.

Welcome to the room!

You have successfully created your ClassDo account! You will see the room you have been invited to either immediately or in the rooms list on the left.

Cannot see the room you have been invited to?

Next Steps:
Run manual device test to check your device in advance before live collaboration, or
Enter a virtual room to join live collaboration instantly
Select the organisation and room you want to enter if you have been invited to multiple organisations/ rooms

Received invitation with email address

If your host invites you via your email address, you will receive an email invitation from ClassDo. If you have received your invitation in your email, continue reading below.

If you use Gmail or an email address linked to a Google account, you can sign in with Google for a quicker sign-in process.

On the website, click Start a Class For Free.

 Enter the same email address that you received your email room invite with. 

Click  Continue with email.

Check your email for the verification code and enter it

Open a new tab on your browser or use your mobile phone to check your email.  DO NOT close or navigate away from the ClassDo login page.

An email titled "Welcome to ClassDo" will have been sent to your account. Enter the six-digit verification code received in the email and click Submit.

You will see the room you have been invited to either immediately or in the rooms list on the left.
