Annotate / Edit Documents (Desktop)
With the ability to read and annotate documents together in our virtual rooms, you can co-create solutions in real time and ClassDo will automatically save all the latest versions permanently.
If you are annotating/ editing documents, you should know how to control your view of them as well.
In this article:
Choose the Document to Edit
Choose and click
the icon of the document you want to edit. The contents of the file will be displayed.
Choose the Page to Edit (in a Multiple-Page Document) If you are editing a single page document, you can skip this step.
When the file is a single-page document, the tools bar will automatically be displayed on the left after clicking on it.
When the file is a multi-page document, the file will be displayed in pages.
Use the Editing Tools
Choose the page you want to edit, then click on the edit button.
To choose between pages, you can either swipe left and right between pages or click on the left or right arrow buttons. The edit button will move to the respective pages.
Clicking the edit button will open up a window for editing the page. When you finish editing on this page, simply click the Exit Button on the upper right to close this window.
Move Things Around
Click Move / Delete, then click and drag the drawing or image to move it. You can also select an entire area of drawings / images / writing to be moved at the same time.
Click Move / Delete, then select the image / drawing that you want to delete and click the Dustbin button. You can also select an entire area of drawings / images / writing to be deleted at the same time.
Copy Parts of the Document
Click Move / Delete, then select the area of the sketch you wish to copy and click the Camera button. You can then paste an image of what you have selected.
Click Text, then select text size and colour. Click on the place where you want to add text and type out your text in the textbox produced. Note that after you have finished typing, the text will be treated as an image and cannot be edited further.
Add an Image
Click Image and choose the image you wish to upload from your device. The uploaded image will be displayed on the document. Note that only images saved in the local device can be uploaded and inserted. You can also copy and paste images directly onto the sketch.
Cancel a Previously Made Action
To cancel an action you just made, click Undo. To restore an action that you have undone, click Redo. You can undo and redo multiple actions.
Write and Draw
Click Pen, then choose the line colour and line thickness.
Click Highlighter, then choose the colour and line thickness.
Insert a Line, Rectangle or Circle
Click Line, Rectangle or Circle depending on what you wish to draw, then choose the line colour and thickness. Then, click and drag on the document to draw the line or shape. Note that the line and shape dimensions can still be edited using the Move / Delete tool after they have been drawn.
