I'm using iPad/iPhone: My videoscreen is frozen and appears as a black screen to others


This article is for iPad/ iPhone users on Safari.
I can see myself in the webcam test during the device test, but after I enter the room, my videoscreen freezes.
Others can see one another in the room but my videoscreen appears black on their devices, even though I've given permission to access the camera.
My iPad/iPhone camera does not work.
Others cannot see me, even though I have refreshed my Safari browser.

If you have already checked that you have given ClassDo permission to access the camera, follow the steps below to reload the camera.

If you are facing these problems, it is likely that your microphone is not working / you cannot be heard by other members of the room as well.


Toggle Camera in Browser Off and On

At the top left corner of the browser window, in the URL bar, there is an orange videocamera icon

Click on it to switch off the camera, then click on it again to switch it back on. This will cause the browser to reload the camera.

Switch Tabs

If you have another tab open in your browser, click on it to switch tabs, then click back on the ClassDo tab to reload the camera.

If you do not have another tab open, open a new tab, then click back on the ClassDo tab to reload the camera.
