Create a Sketchpad in the Room (Mobile)


This article is for general users of ClassDo e.g. students. If you are an organisation owner, admin, or member with admin permissions e.g. tutor, please refer to this article.

ClassDo's virtual room comes with its own virtual whiteboard! With Sketch, share what you draw and write with everyone in the room. Feel free to jot down workings or draw models and graphs while you learn!

Creating a Sketch

If you do not have permission to "Create a new tab" in the room, you will see a message that only the room host can open new tabs. You will not be able to see a '+' icon after tapping the menu button. You can only open new tabs in your desk. Click the desk icon to upload documents into your desk instead.

Tap the nine squares menu button at the top left corner, then tap the '+' icon at the bottom of the screen.

Select Sketch under New.

Naming the Sketch


You can name or rename your sketches by tapping the Additional options button (three-dot icon).

Then type in the name of the sketchpad in the textbox below Content name. You can also rename others' sketches.

Opening Previous Sketches

Tap the nine squares  menu button at the top left corner, then tap the '+' icon at the bottom of the screen.

Similar to previously, if you do not have permission to "Create a new tab" in the room, you will not see a '+' icon after tapping the menu button. You can only open new tabs in your desk.

Select the sketch you would like to open.

You can also search for a particular sketch by tapping the filter icon next to the searchbar and selecting Sketch. Only sketchpads will be displayed. 

You can also search the name of the sketchpad by typing in the name into the searchbar.

Deleting the Sketch



You can delete your sketches by tapping the  Additional options button (three-dot icon).

Then select  Delete content. Note that this option will only appear if you are the one who created the sketchpad, or if you have the right to "Delete any content/ sketchpad/ typepad/ poll/ recording".

If you are sure you want to delete the sketchpad, tap OK. If you have decided not to delete the sketchpad, tap Cancel.
