Create a Typepad in the Content Library (Mobile)

Work on a document with others in real time with Type! It is an easy and simple way for you to create and share a text document, complete with formatting and style options to customise your notes and projects.

Create a Typepad

Log into ClassDo and click on View Content Library on the room homepage.

Alternatively, you may click on the three-bar icon located on the top left corner of the room homepage.

Click on Content Library.

Locate the room folder to access the contents within the room.

Select the  folder which you would like to create the typepad in. Before creating the typepad, you may want to check if you wish to create it in the room library, in a group or in your personal desk.

Click on the button located on the bottom right corner.

Select Type from the menu.

This will open an empty typepad in the content editor.

You can click on the back button to return to the content library.


Name the Typepad

To rename the typepad, simply click on the  file name to toggle the input field. You can name your typepad by typing in the text box. When you are done renaming, press enter/return on your keyboard or click anywhere outside the input field.

You can also rename typepads from the content library. Locate the typepad from the list of files in the content library and click on the  Additional options button (three-dot icon) to the right of the file name. 

Select Rename  from the list of options available in the menu.

When you are done renaming, click on the  Update button.

You can also rename others' typepads.


Open Previous Typepads

Locate and click on the typepad from the list of files in the content library.

You can also search the name of the typepad by typing in the name into the searchbar.

You can also search for typepads by tapping the  filter icon next to the search bar.

Select Type.

When you are done, click on the Apply button. The search results will update automatically with the new filter criteria. Only typepads will be displayed. 


Delete the Typepad

You can delete your typepads by tapping the   Additional options button (three-dot icon).

Then, select  Delete content. Note that this option will not appear if you are not the one who created the typepad, or you do not have the right to "Delete any content in the main room (does not apply to desks and groups)".

If you are sure you want to delete the typepad, tap  Delete. If you have decided not to delete the typepad, tap Cancel.

Alternatively, you can also delete the typepad from the content library. Click on the  Additional options button (three-dot icon) to the right of the file name.

In the menu shown, select  Delete content.

Confirm your deletion of the typepad by clicking on the  Delete button in the popup.
