Search and Sort Content (Desktop)

With ClassDo's smart Content Library system, it becomes easy and convenient for you to quickly sift through all your learning materials. When you wish to retrieve the file in future, you can find it more easily by search-and-filtering through tags, content type, room, and content creator, even if you cannot remember which session you had used it. This supercharges your workflow, allowing you to achieve greater productivity.

To begin, you need to be in the Organisation Screen. If you are not, refer to this article to exit a room. The associated controls are at the right of the screen.
Searching your content
On the room homepage, click on View Content Library to visit the content library for a particular room.
Alternatively, you may locate and click on Content Library on the left sidebar and locate the room folder to access the contents within the room.
a) Using the search bar
In the search bar, enter the name of the file that you wish to search for. The search results will update automatically with each keystroke.
b) Filter by tags
Click on the Filter icon to the right of the search bar. Under Tags, type the tags that you wish to filter by and select it from the dropdown. The search results will update automatically when you alter the filter criteria.
To remove a tag from the filter criteria, click on the 'X' button on the tag.
To remove all the tags from the filter criteria, click on the 'X' button to the right of the input field.
c) Filter by content type
Click on the Filter icon to the right of the search bar. Under Content type, select the content type that you wish to search for. Selecting Sketch will only show sketches in the search result. Likewise, you can streamline the search results by selecting one of PDF/Image, Type, Sketch, Poll, YouTube or Recording.
d) Filter by room
Click on the Filter icon to the right of the search bar. Under Room, select a room from the list of rooms available in the dropdown. These are rooms where you belong to in the organisation. Once selected, the search results will automatically update to display only content in the particular room.
e) Filter by creator
Click on the Filter icon to the right of the search bar. Under Creator, select a member name from the list of names in the dropdown. Once selected, the search results will automatically update to show content created by or uploaded by the particular member.
Sorting your content
By default, the contents in the library is sorted in descending order by its last modified date. This means that the file which was modified the most recently appears at the top. However, you can choose to sort the contents differently to search for contents faster.
a) Sorting by name
Click on Name. This will sort the files in terms of their alphabetical order. When the arrow is pointing upwards, the contents are sorted in ascending alphabetical order.
To sort the contents in descending alphabetical order, click on Name again.
b) Sorting by last modified
Click on Last modified. When the arrow is pointing downwards, the contents are sorted in descending order in terms of their last modified date. The most recently modified content will be at the top.
To display the content that are least recently updated, click on Last modified again. When the arrow is pointing upwards, the contents will be displayed in ascending order in terms of their last modified date.
c) Toggling between different views
Click on the List icon to reveal the dropdown.
By default, the contents are displayed in a list. Click on Grid to display the items in grid view.
Click on List to display the items in list view.
